The Boring Bus – Schippers&VanGucht | multi media installation

“You go ahead and follow the time… I’ll come soon.” – Midas Dekkers

What happens when you don’t have anything to do, simply because you don’t know what to do? Then you enjoy the moment. Your head will be emptied and there will be room for new ideas. These ideas are more creative and refreshing than you have ever been able to imagine.

Why does one minute take longer than another? What would YOU do if you could stretch out time? Does time stand still? Or not quite?

Hop on the Boring Bus, a dedication to boredom and imagination, a musical and visual book of discoveries for everyone age 4 and up, in which time is the main player (but this main player might just be forgotten).

Annette Embrechts about the Boring Bus:

I was in Antwerp and I stumbled upon the new installation of Schippers&VanGucht, a visual projection free of words or acting, in a bus that travels past schools and festivals. I was pleasantly surprised. A joyful vision on boredom and the passing of time. Clever footage, good sound and funny extras like the shaking of the bus floor and a shower from the ceiling consisting of blue balls.”
